EnergyVaasa is setting higher ambitions for the next three years
The new strategy of the EnergyVaasa cluster highlights the cluster’s position as a global leader in the clean transition. A strong focus is placed on the cluster companies' capacity for renewal, the development of internationally competitive SMEs, and a thriving start-up culture.
On March 13, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, the EnergyVaasa cluster’s 2025–2027 strategy will be launched. The new strategy sets the frames for the development of the cluster's services and projects that will benefit all its stakeholders.
Over the next three years, the EnergyVaasa cluster will focus on strengthening collaboration between cluster stakeholders in research, development, and innovation, on promoting resilience and renewal, particularly among SMEs as well as on creating an attractive investment environment.
New regulations and requirements related to the clean transition—both nationally and internationally—are driving a significant need and room for innovation. The driving factors, influencing this shift, include energy efficiency, resource efficiency, circular economy principles, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
– The cluster’s companies and stakeholders have played a crucial role in shaping the new strategy, where resilience has been emphasized more than before. One key takeaway is the importance of competitive subcontractors. Additionally, there is a need to strengthen the region’s start-up culture, says Sabina Storbacka, Program Director at Merinova, adding:
– Furthermore, in light of the clean transition, it is essential to maintain an attractive investment environment that draws new businesses, investments, financiers, and skilled professionals.
